Target audience research summary

As you know our production team took a survey for our target audience to give us feedback on how they felt about the film, what they understand about the film, what they understand about each character and how they feel about other aspects if the film. This feedback was very necessary and beneficial to us because we had a better understanding of what attracts our target audience and we also got feedback that makes us aware of what needs to be improved in our film for future plans. We found out from this survey that out target audience liked the scene when Porsha got pushed down the stairs and also the evil glare that Jessica and Layla gave to one another as they were about to show Porsha around the house. We also found out that generally our target audience is pleased with the Tupac "escape from heaven" soundtrack as most of them loved Tupac. Another thing noticed from the results of the survey is that almost everyone understood the plot of the story and implied that the movie was already being related to and clear. The audience also liked the locations in the film because they related to them. However there were things that the audience didn't like such as the fact that we used a knife as a prop in the opening scene. They saw it as too predictable and typical of a thriller film. Another thing that they didn't like was that they couldn't guess the genre of the film. They couldn't guess that the film was a psychological thriller so that must not have been obvious. In addition to what they didn't like was the costumes; even though most of them said it was realistic they also implied that they wanted costumes that are more creative and captivating. So according to these results us as a production company if we were to continue this move we would improve the costumes so that the audience can really think about what they represent. We would also improve our props to make them more unpredictable to be different from other thriller films from other companies. In addition to what we would improve would be the plot to make the storyline more obvious that its a psychological thriller. This would also be the case if we were to start this movie over as all these aspects out audience didn't like would be changes into what they would like and watch making our film attract them more.
