Evaluation-Who would be the target audience for your film?

The exact target audience for our film is British urban black teenage females. We felt the need to attract the British towards our film because we felt they will be able to connect emotionally and understand the characters better than maybe American teens. We felt the need to attract people aged 16-26 because we felt that they will be able to understand the situation more and the characters used are based around the same age we thought it was easier to attract them rather then people that are aged older as they would not understand the bullying part of the film and people aged younger would not understand the darker side of the film plot so we aimed to attract the people similar ages to the character. We attracted mostly females due to the stereotype that females are always bitchy towards each other and we felt that females will be able to understand the plot of the story more and connect with whichever character they want. We felt the need to attract every race but mostly wanted to connect the black British since the characters where black British and in the film industry the white characters are mostly dominating especially in thrillers so we decided to used leading black characters.
